Prologue-A House on the Hill

Once, there was a building known as the Grenadier Asylum, Nestled on Abbey Road, it was an asylum/orphanage (depending on the history books) that was found by Eleanor Rigby. Along with taking care of the sick, she also took in a couple of orphans and abused children who were left to fend on the streets. In the morning, the children would learn music, art and life. At night, they were tucked into bed while Eleanor took care of the insane adults.

However, this practice was not followed by her disciples. Some of them abused the children, raped them, ridiculed them...others went as far as to kill them for their own pleasures. It was a miracle if one would be taken into the custody of a mother and father, but it was death to those who were left behind....

One day, a fire broke out. Everyone was evacuated; everyone, except four souls. They did not receive proper funerals, because no one knew their names. Instead, they were left to rot in the dilapidated building for years and years and years...

However, it is said that something evil lurks in the cold Grenadier...something dark, demonic and something that preys on human flesh...

"Are you sure this is the right place, Annie?"

"Nope! This is the field, but the Norwegian Wood Asylum...that's the place!"

"Very funny, Annie. Still, why would you want to go here for our project? Couldn't we just go to Strawberry Field?"

"That place is overcrowded, over done and too typical. This place...THIS is a place where something is reeking of excitement and spooks!"

Lia let out a sigh as she and Annie walked up the hill. The two were sent by their teacher, Miss Michelle, to research and cite different places around Liverpool. The more popular sites were already taken, so Annie decided to take Lia to the last place anyone would go to. They were going to research the history of the asylum and find any 'evidence' of ghosts and paranormal activity. The grounds had been left and abandoned for some time, but both girls were given permission to scout it out. They only had from sunset to sunrise to figure out what was inside, however.

Annie adjusted her black fedora and plastic framed glasses. A brown coat with white stripes and pins protected her from the cold wind and was worn on top of a tan blouse and black tie. Her legs were covered with tan pants and black dress shoes. Her brownish-black layered hair went down to shoulders as her brown eyes looked at the site in front of her. The abandoned asylum, black and standing at least three stories high, was only met by the surrounding patches of dead grass and wilted flowers that went with it.

Lia sat down on the grass, her blue jeans stuffed with pencils, and other stuff she carried on her. Dressed in a red flowing blouse decorated with black and white flowers, the 18-year-old girl (in comparison to Annie who was 16), let out a sigh. She adjusted her brown frame glasses and tied her hair into a ponytail with a ribbon.

"I still can't believe that we're going there of all places." Lia commented. "Especially since no one's been in the asylum for about...40-50 years."

"Well, I heard that there's this black lady ghost who calls herself Yoko Ono." said Annie. "She had these wicked art exhibits inside and some say her spirit's still making them...."

"I heard that there's a ghostly piano inside!" Lia added, pulling out a notebook from her backpack. "That, and there's some secret passage ways that no one knows about..."

"Well, we aren't gonna be doing a lot of observing if we're out here. Come on."

"Coming." said Lia, standing up. "I sure hope this gives us an A+; I need a good grade in Social Science."

"We'll get the grade for sure!" said Annie. "I mean, we both love ghosts and what with it being haunted and full of unknown history...who knows what will be there?!"

"We'll find out thanks to all the equipment! Mini tape recorders, cameras, night vision goggles...it's like we're ghost hunters ourselves!"

"We are ghost hunters! I mean; we are in the Ghost Hunter club after all..."

"We're the only members of the Ghost Hunter club..."

"It's not my fault that everyone's too chicken to join it...."

Lia and Annie continued their talk as they approached the asylum. The two smiled and laughed as they began to prepare themselves or the biggest night of their lives.
My friend :iconcherry-blossom-fan: commented me about how 'psychotic' my Beatles have become in 'A Hard Day's Fight'. That gave me the inspiration to do this awesome little story about psychotic people. Hope you like! XD
